Requesting preauthorization for coverage
*Note – this section does not apply to Mental health, including addiction and recovery
Using the referral request application
Kaiser Permanente Washington's preferred method for requesting authorization is through the Referral Request tool on our provider web site. You can access and use the Referral Request tool by logging in through One Health Port. If you don't have an account, visit OneHealthPort. Requests received via this application may be auto adjudicated, giving you an instant response to your request.
If you are not able to log in to our provider website through One Health Port, we offer some additional methods to request authorization.
Please use the hyperlinks below to access a job aid with instructions regarding use of each method.
- Referral/order entry (used by most contracted providers)
- Manual/exception referral (used by non-contracted providers and a designated subset of contracted providers)
